These are sorted from south to north. The Connecticut mainline hike was from January 2012 in Guilford to October 2012 at the Massachusetts line. The Connecticut "spur" was hiked the following year, also from south to north. In 2014 I sampled the Guilford sections that had just been completed. The Connecticut sections were mostly "out and back" hikes done while looking for letterboxes on the NET and all connecting trails.
After a few years of foot ailments I was able to hike the Massachusetts NET and New Hampshire M-M in 2016 and 2017. Those blog posts feature longer sections of the NET/M-M Trail due to the logistics of day hiking a trail that was a long drive from home.
Much of the Menunkatuck was still under construction in 2012. Although the posts below are arranged loosely from south to north, I hiked it heading southbound over the course of a few years, because that's the direction the trail was advancing.
